During one of our Heavy Truck Extrication classes we started discussing the strength of cribbing when it is used to bridge the top of a crib stack. While these tests were limited, we did get some good info regarding this application. The document is linked here.

The attachment linked here is a set of random rope and equipment tests that we did at Fishers FD. These tests were unscientific and shouldn’t be construed as anything more than that. We offer them here only for curiosity’s sake and general interest.
