Incident Command Programs

Although it's important to meet the intent of a common Incident Management System within the National Framework, USAR is the main focus regarding rescue operations. Our Incident Command programs address management of Technical Rescue incidents, which are more focused events compared to a USAR event. Obtaining local public and private sector resources, managing responders with varying levels of training, and working through on-scene "turf battles" of a low frequency event are real world challenges covered in our programs.

Technical Rescue Command and Control

Technical rescue is a challenge in almost every way. Managing the scene, rescuers and resources is very different from most other incident responses we are accustom to. This four day class will develop team leaders and rescue officers through a building block approach culminating in managing full scale scenarios, with all the complexities of real life.

Team Development: Scenario Based Exercises

Advanced Rescue Solutions can set up scenario-based exercises in any discipline to challenge your rescue team and provide valuable feedback. ARS will develop a detailed scenario based on your level of training and response needs, evaluating various parts of the operation. (view details).

Outside evaluation is an excellent means of measuring team development and goal setting for the future. ARS will develop a challenging team scenario based on objectives established by team leadership in a preliminary planning meeting. From there, the ARS team will prepare the site and specific props to meet the objectives. During the scenario ARS will have evaluators in key positions to document action plan development, communications, execution, and team performance to be included in a post-scenario report. The report will also contain recommendations for future training sessions to address team needs while acting as a valuable tool for budget development and long range planning.
