The ARS rope rescue program just took a significant step forward today with the arrival of our CMC Enforcer Load Cell. We've had an old analog dynamometer for a long time but we seldom got it off the trailer for classes.  And when we did, it had a max of 5000 lbf, so we were limited on what we could test. But now we can run just about any practical example we can think of. And, we can record that data and give students a tremendous look at the practical side of the physics we discuss in class.  So, ready to host a ropes class or a refresher?
